VOTING ...POLITICS

If voting was/is not important...If one's vote doesn't matter, than what's the reason millions of dollars & effort are spent to obstruct, suppress & discourage people from voting? 

It is not enough 2 just vote...What action are you doing 2 hold the politicians accountable? 

Local, State & Federal...

There are 9 major people activities...

Education, Economics, Entertainment, Labor, Law, Religion, Politics, Sex & War...

We are affected by them regardless of one's apathy/ignorance/understanding...We are participants regardless of action or inaction...

Politics are at least, two part, in nature...Politicians are elected & They should be held accountable by the people...

Those who have this understanding, are the ones who have their needs met.. 

NO the Democratic & Republican parties are not the same...Do the knowledge, manifest discernment & gain Understanding...

School boards/districts/schools, education material, Judges, policing, medical benefits/facilities,  women's rights to control their bodies, voting rights, resources allocated, quality of food,  etc...are ALL affected by elected officials...

If your neighborhood is under resourced, who did you vote  into office AND what did you do to hold them accountable?  AND were the same politicians reelected?

Years ago when our ancestors "Went up North", they went 2 Freedom...

Today, it means going 2 Bondage (Jail)...

ANALOGY 

Many argue/concede that today's NBA players are better than their predecessors due to their skill set (availability to better technolgy/training/conditioning) ...I present that with the consistent display of low basketball IQ, the current players are not better than their predecessors...Being physically better, without the accompanying mental, renders one lacking in their full potential...

Let's examine my 1st statement...

Today, we have better technology/training (education)/environment than our ancestors did during Chattel Slavery, yet we wear (celebrate) being put in Bondage as a badge of honor...Rite of passage...

Like the Bball Question, "Are we smarter (better) today than our ancestors? "

My people & I are solution based...

My Brotha Monwasha Edu posted a lesson regarding relationships, specifically African (Black) Love...Nature vs. Nurture

I'll pull from it to close my point...

Our Ancestors that sought Freedom were in Harmony with their Nature (African) & used said Nature as their foundation of their culture...The culture that valued Freedom & Education among other things...Respecting & Drawing from those who came before them...

In short, to reach the heights that we say we want...To maximize our FULL Being, we must be in Harmony with our NATURE to break the NURTURE of over 400+ years...
