BORN DAY ANNIVERSARY...POPPA DOC

When you say One's name, they continue 2 Live...

When you see me, you see The/My Father...

 The Seeds of Justice were planted early in me... 

 At age 11, while my Father was stationed in Germany,  There was a Racial incident involving the Base Commander's young son & the enlisted dependents' children (which I was one).  

While we were all playing together, The Commander's son called a black child N*gger...

 This was 1974...

During those times, the Officers/Officers'  children didn't regularly, socially, fraternize with the Enlisted Soldiers/Dependents...Our base was different due to the athletic successes that our Youth Sports' Teams achieved in Basketball & Football...

We won Multiple European Championships among the Bases in Europe...

This gave the Base Commander bragging rights...Additionally, his Daughter was a star cheerleader...

Lastly, at the time of the incident, my Football team had just won the European 'Chip in Football, where I was the Star Running Back...

I Digress...

Subsequently, a meeting was held on the Base with all of the involved Families....

During the meeting, The Commander stated that he didn't know where his son learned this for some of his (the Commander's)  friends were Black...

My Father looked directly at the Commander and stated,  "Sir, that is a Racist Statement."...

 That shut the meeting down... 

No,  my Father did not face any retribution...

No Fear...

Mind you,  my Father was a Vietnam Veteran and had earned the Bronze Star & Purple Heart medals in Combat...

 He saw & faced Death...

My Father educated me & would tell me that We/You are not like them...You're Unique...

& Always treat everyone with respect...

On his Last Breath, before transitioning with the Ancestors,  he looked at me & said,  "Son, Always Do your Best. "

I've Watched & Listened 2 quite a few post election talk regarding what Black people  & the Greater Community should do...

I've heard that Black People should leave the Democratic Party & join another party...

What I heard is that White people can not be trusted & that they will ALWAYS stick together.

PARDON...

I'm looking at the stats & ALL White people did/do not support Mr. Trump & there were SOME Black People who VOTED 4 Mr. Trump...

(YES,  Racism & Sex-ism Do exist... MORE than 2 things may be true at the same time...)

What I heard was the suggesting 4 Black people 2 leave one Pimp & join another Pimp...

WHAT I DIDN'T HEAR

Was the call 4 Black people 2 become EDUCATED in Politics...& That as long as One lives in this Country (as well as most countries), One can not escape it... 

(This is also true 4 the Greater Community)

Of sitting OUT of Elections...

What I didn't hear was the Call 4 ALL 2 read The Art of War,  by Sun Tzu... For Yes,  This is a War...

OR

2 Learn 2 become Critical Thinkers & 2 Create a Self relating paradigm that serves Self,  Family & Community...

To start playing POLITICAL Chess & NOT Checkers...& Get out of One's Feelings...

ONE loses when distracted with PERSONALITIES  versus Factual Track Records...

What I didn't hear is how Elections determine  resource distribution on the State & Local levels...Taxes, School Districts, Infrastructure,  Local/State Commerce , Law Officials, Employment,  etc...

What I didn't hear is that NO PARTY is suppose 2 GIVE One ANYTHING... The CONSTITUENTS are 2 Demand  by collectively forming Locally... Becoming a FORCE on the State Level & PARTNERING With the Political parties on the Federal Level...

NOT BITCHING  in hopes that someone will FINALLY give One something...

THERE'S A REASON there are some groups (Ethnic & Otherwise) that DO receive their demands... THEY'VE implemented the aforementioned...

THEY'VE put in the WORK that benefit the collective, not just a few...Hotep

They have chosen to allow their Racist Ideology, Gender Bias & Self Hate to cloud their 3rd Eye...& transform themselves into the Walking Dead...

They have chosen to follow their Christ into an abyss which many will not be able to recover...

This is the time for the rest of us to lean into our Spirituality to guide us in navigating this challenge...

For my Brethren, we are the descendants of the survivors of the Middle Passage & Chattel Slavery...Dem not Like Us ... Lean into the U-n-I-Verse & commune with the Essence & Ancestors for our Strength/Endurance/Salvation...
